Open Fridge

Do you lack the space or staff to run a traditional food pantry?

The Palm Beach County: Open Fridge Initiative increases food access in underserved communities by providing fresh produce, dry goods, prepared meals, frozen goods, and the tools needed to serve the community. Refrigerators and dry pantries are installed in high food-insecure communities (i.e., 55+ communities, shelters, etc.).

All food items are provided free of charge to the participating agency. These items are then made available to the public, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry.

  • Refrigerators and pantries are installed in an accessible location within the agency
  • Open to the public free of charge
