Join the Palm Beach County Food Bank this September for Hunger Action Month 2024: Be a Hunger Hero! Hunger Action Month is a national campaign aiming to educate communities and motivate efforts to end food insecurity. This September, be a hero by taking a stand against hunger. Help us spread awareness, raise funds, and collect food for our Palm Beach County community. Together, we nourish our neighbors and improve their lives one meal at a time!
Hunger Action Day, September 17, is a day we boldly wear orange to raise awareness for the hunger thousands of our neighbors experience here at home. Tag us wearing your orange on Hunger Action Day or throughout the month of September with #HungerActionMonth as Palm Beach County Food Bank on LinkedIn, @pbcfoodbank on Instagram and Facebook, @foodbankpbc on Twitter, and @foodbankpbc on TikTok @pbc_foodbank.
Over 173,000 Palm Beach County residents, including 51,000 children, are struggling with food insecurity. This means children, families, seniors, veterans, people experiencing homelessness, and the working class do not know from where their next meal will come or when they will eat. The cost and need for food are increasing here at home and less food is coming into our food bank.
You can make a difference by partnering with us to create over 12.7 million meals (2023-2024).
Together, we nourish our neighbors in need and improve their lives one meal at a time!
Hunger Heroes, September 2024 was officially proclaimed National Hunger Action Month by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners! We are honored to stand alongside dedicated hunger relief partners in the fight against hunger in Palm Beach County.
Thank you, United Way of Palm Beach County and Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners. It takes a village to enact change and we are proud to partner with you to nourish our neighbors in need.
How will you take action this Hunger Action Month?
